inmidtown is a Business Improvement District, representing 560 businesses in Bloomsbury, Holborn and St Giles, in the significant area between London’s West End and the City. One of the UK’s largest BIDs, it has earned a track record for delivering real value to its members. Midtown has been highlighted by the Mayor of London as an area of strategic importance to London and indeed the UK. Recent reports show that commercial property is showing better returns in Midtown than in other prime areas of London, and there is plenty of infrastructure investment and private development and growth underway and planned.

Chief Executive Tass Mavrogordato says: “Many of the projects we deliver for members contribute to our objective of ensuring the area is seen as a destination of choice for business. In June 2012, we invited yBC to start working with inmidtown to develop an integrated digital strategy and high impact digital elements which would deliver tangible results to our 560 members and reinforce the value of our projects and amplify the profile of inmidtown.

“We’re delighted with progress in the first 18 months. We now have two vibrant, content rich websites with growing traffic, a regular schedule of high quality content being published with great open rates, and a thriving community of over 15,000 friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter with second level reach into the millions. yBC has also produced hundreds of video clips featuring our members, implemented a large interactive touchscreen for us right outside Holborn tube station, and delivered two very significant digital world firsts: the longest Facebook timeline in the world, and the world’s first real time, web based carbon counter for an entire city district, powered by inmidtown’s innovative carbon calculator project.”

“We pride ourselves on innovation, delivery, accountability and tangible ROI to our members. Our new found strength on digital platforms only supports and enhances everything we do via our numerous projects for our members, and helps us to promote this part of London far and wide. We’re absolutely delighted.”
